I am a sporadic Am-Ko visitor, so I’m often surprised at the changes that have taken place each time I go. One thing that has made me happy in the past 2 years or so is when I happen to show up on a day that they are offering hot bao.
Today is one of those days!
Are they the best bao ever? Admittedly, no. But they are hot and filled with either savory veggie mix (super-onion-y) or sweet red beans. They keep my hands warm. They make my mouth happy. They’re only $1.50, and as of this writing, there were a few left of each.
Maybe you didn’t know that such a thing was available at your local awesome corner-grocery. Consider yourself educated.
