Community Foundation of East Central Illinois opens up these grants each year, which are funded by “endowments from generous donors leaving a legacy for future generations.” This year, there is $150,000 to distribute to area nonprofits to fund projects that:
- Suggest practical approaches to addressing community problems
- Promote collaboration and cooperation among agencies
- Generate community support, both professional and volunteer
- Strengthen an agency’s effectiveness or stability
