Art for Mutual Aid in Illinois launched today to support mutual aid and social justice projects in East Central Illinois. Coordinated by Amy Powell, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Krannert Art Museum, offers artwork for donations of $100 made to Champaign County Bailout Coalition, Don Moyers Boys and Girls Club, Education Justice Project, Hip Hop Xpress, Housing Authority of Champaign County Enrichment Foundation, Randolph Street Community Garden, or Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center.
Participating artists include Will Arnold, Molly Catherine Briggs, Rachel Fein-Smolinski, Ryan Griffis, Ben Grosser, Emmy Lingscheit, Jorge Lucero, Guen Montgomery, Dann Nardi, Bea Nettles, Melissa Pokorny, lovenloops, Deke Weaver, and Stacey Gross.
