Banner-dropping at the Union in support of UC protests

An anonymous tipster sent the above photos earlier this morning. The banner is in support of  protests and demonstrations at the University of California campuses, where their Board of Regents voted in a 32 percent tuition hike for the spring semester. 52 students were arrested on the Davis campus yesterday for failing to vacate a university building.

These pictures accompanied a report of a banner reading “Chop from the Top” (referring to where they’d like to see budgetary cuts made) draped over the Alma Mater. Can anyone corroborate that?
