The Human Library Champaign-Urbana is looking for “books” for the upcoming Pygmalion festival. This year’s event will take place at Rose Bowl Tavern on September 24th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A Human Library is an event that aims to create dialogue and understanding between people. Individuals volunteer as human ‘books’ and participants in the event can ‘read’ the book- meaning they would have a one on one conversation with the volunteer and share in a dialogue about that individual’s experience.
Volunteers are people who have experienced some form of marginalization or discrimination, and are willing to share their experiences with others.
