The New American Welcome Center is inviting artists of all ages to create butterflies for a Welcoming Week art installation in Lincoln Square Mall. Interested participants can stop by The Idea Store and pick up a butterfly kit (hint: the kits include a paper towel roll) to take home, then return the finished product to the store or to the University YMCA by September 4th.
The Urbana Arts and Culture Program is hosting a Young Artist’s Workshop on August 15th at 3 p.m. for kids who might want some guidance in making their creations. You can register for the online event through the Facebook event page.
The installation will be unveiled on September 14th at 12 p.m.
