Black Dog’s nachos are a Thursday highlight

Do you remember when Black Dog regularly had nachos on the menu? It’s been quite a long time. I’ve been a fan since trying them in 2015, when Black Dog’s Champaign location opened. But they were removed from the regular menu, maybe in 2020, maybe prior — it’s hard to say because the last few years have smoothed out parts of my brain in addition to being challenging to the food service industry.

TL;DR: You can get Black Dog’s nachos as a special on Thursdays. Last week, I ordered them with pulled pork ($13.43), but you can get any other type of meat (prices vary), or meatless ($6.95). My suggestion is to order a side of the Texas caviar ($2.95) and your favorite sauce (Milo’s Mustard, $0.50) to eat with the nachos; it’s a superior meal.
