C-U Public Health District has fresh produce in their food pantry

Two white wire refrigerator shelves are loaded with green and yellow vegetables, individually bagged in plastic.

We’ve hit the point in the summer where farms and gardens are beginning to produce fresh veggies, and that means CUPHD’s Give Back Garden is as well. CUPHD has a food pantry in the lobby of their building, where anyone is welcome to grab food staples. Now, folks can also get veggies and herbs straight from the garden. Look at all of that produce!

The garden is tended by volunteers, and has been growing and providing food for people in the community since 2012.
