On Friday, May 13, Cakes on Walnuts will change its name to Cream & Flutter as part of a new branding strategy. The new brand is a result of a collaboration between owners Amanda Bates and Trisha Sutton, a University of Illinois design class and graphic designer Samantha Snyder.
“You will see many of the same products you love, including cupcakes. But we have added new products, such as French Macaroons and Madeleines, lemon shortbread cookies and old-fashioned sugar cookies, all presented in expertly designed packaging,” Bates explained.
Cream & Flutter will also add Cream & Flutter BRIDES, which will focus on bringing designed dessert displays to individual bridal clients.
Hours will remain the same for Cream & Flutter: 11:30am-10pm, Monday-Thursday and 11:30am-11pm, Friday and Saturday.
Expect new signage, packaging, interior changes and a re-vamped website in the coming days.
