Early voting locations are open on campus at U of I

There are now two locations for early voting on campus: the Pine Lounge at the Illini Union and the ARC, an improvement over the last primary season. With the Illinois primary falling during spring break, it’s super important for students and anyone who’s venturing outside C-U to get their voting done in the next two weeks. Both locations are universal polling places, meaning anyone can vote there. Here are the hours:

Monday, March 2nd – Friday March 6th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, March 7th, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sunday, March 8th, 1 to 4 p.m.
Monday, March 9th – Friday, March 13th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, March 14th, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sunday, March 15th, 1 to 4 p.m.
Monday, March 16th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

These and all polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 17th, election day.

Sample ballots are now available on the Champaign County Clerk’s website. You can download it, print it out, and learn about the various candidates before you head to the polls. We’ve been highlighting some of the local contested races, so check out the Culture section for candidate interviews and such. Champaign County Voters Alliance is another great resource.
