BLACKMAU’s artwork will be on view at Gallery Art Bar for the month of November. BLACKMAU, Stacey “BLACKSTAR” Robinson and psychologist Kamau “DJ Kamaumau” Grantham, have collaborated for a long time on collaged works that “mimic the visual and sonic production methods of the music cultures that influenced [them].” Their work inspires dialogue about Black liberation and centering Black people in conversations about future spaces.
There will be an opening reception from 7 to 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1st. DJ quintet Darker than Blue will be on the turntables.
