Celebrate Bloomsday with rare Ulysses items at the Illinois RBML

Today is Bloomsday — the date in which James Joyce’s novel Ulysses takes place. Around the world people celebrate by staging marathon readings, hosting presentations on Joyce, or by checking out Joyce-related manuscripts or museum exhibits.

Today, until 5 p.m., you can head to the University of Illinois Rare Book & Manuscript Library (located on the third floor of the Main Library) and check out some rare Ulysses artifacts before heading out to your Bloomsday reading.

You can see the full list of Joyce artifacts and manuscripts in their blog.
