The City of Urbana shared that there will indeed be trick-or-treating in Champaign and Urbana this year, setting the hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 31st, though they encourage alternate activities at home for the lowest risk.
Guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health states that trick-or-treating activities (as well as other Halloween events) need to incorporate social distancing, masking, and proper handwashing, as well as adherence to event size limitations.
