Check out programming featuring Native stories on WILL this month

During this Native American Heritage Month, take the opportunity to learn more about Native history and experiences. There are several options for this through WILL:

  • Watch the season finale of Native America, a documentary series featuring contemporary Native communities, on WILL-TV on November 14th at 8 p.m. You can find past episodes on pbs.org or the PBS app
  • Watch Little Bird, a drama about a Native woman who as a child was forcibly removed from her family, on Sundays at 10 p.m. on WILL-TV
  • Watch the Ken Burns documentary American Buffalo on the PBS app or pbs.org. It features U of I professor Rosalyn La Pier, a member of the Blackfeet Tribe of Montana and Métis
  • Explore the Social Justice Learning Space on their website, which is currently featuring lessons on the Native American experience geared toward a variety of age ranges.
