Check out the spring lineup of screenings for the U of I’s Roger Ebert Center for Film Studies

The Roger Ebert Center for Film Studies in the College of Media at the University of Illinois will screen a bunch of really interesting films this semester. Here are the events:

February 29, 7PM: Train to Busan​ Join us for the Ebert Center screening of Fright Night: Train to Busan​ (2016, Well Go USA Entertainment), a South Korean horror film directed by Yeon Sang-ho.​​​​​​

March 21, 7PM: Ovarian Psycos Join us for the Ebert Center screening of Women’s History: Ovarian Psycos (2016), a documentary about an unapologetic bicycle brigade, directed by Joanna Sokolowski and Kate Trumbull-LaValle.

March 22, 3-4PM: Women Make Movies Join us for a discussion of Ovarian Psycos (2016), a documentary about an unapologetic bicycle brigade, directed by Joanna Sokolowski and Kate Trumbull-LaValle. The conversation will center around precarity, collaboration, and claiming space. This event is a collaboration with the Women’s Resources Center and will be held at 616 E Green, Suite 202, Champaign.

April 4, 7PM: Ebert Fellows Curated Film: Portrait of a Lady on Fire Join us for a screening curated by this year’s Roger Ebert Fellows: Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019, Swank Motion Pictures), directed by Céline Sciamma.

April 16-17: Roger Ebert Symposium: Representations and Their Critics. (More details to come.)

All screenings are in the Knight Auditorium at the Spurlock Museum.
