Back in December, it was announced that the World Series trophy won by the Chicago Cubs this past season would hit Champaign-Urbana at some point in time. Now, that date is official: February 4th at State Farm Center.
Get ready Cubs fans: the World Series Trophy will make its Champaign-Urbana appearance here on Saturday, February 4. Not surprisingly, the trophy will be visiting the State Farm Center in Champaign. The Chicago Cubs Trophy Tour is, after all, sponsored by State Farm.
As for the visit, there’s no word on any detail except that the trophy will be at the Illini men’s basketball game against Minnesota, which tips off at 3 p.m. that afternoon. Guess what, friends: tickets are still available (but maybe not for long, so don’t wait).
