Christmas tree delivery is a great idea

On Saturday, I sat down to figure out what I was going to do about acquiring a Christmas tree this year. My huband and I get a real tree each year (I know, there are some problems with this practice, don’t @ me), but with COVID, I had some hestitation about going to a place to pick out a tree and do the whole thing.

So in my search for cut-your-tree places in C-U, I arrived at the best of the pandemic: Christmas trees you can order online have delivered to your home (for an additional fee). Tate’s Trees partnered wtih Prairieland CEO students to arrange for home delivery of their trees for an additional $25.

I selected my tree size and opted for delivery; the delivery window said that it would arrive by Wednesday, so imagine my surprise when on Saturday afternoon, a mere handful of hours after ordering online, I found a Christmas tree at my door. (They did send me a text message saying they were delivering the tree, but I saw the tree before I saw my phone.)

It was a breeze, and the tree looks (and smells) great in my house. I hope that this service exists in the future, because I am so grateful I do not have to vacuum a whole bunch of pine needles in my car.

Sadly for you, Tate’s Trees is already sold out for the season, but I encourage you to follow along on socials for next year.
