Annie Baker’s captivating new play Circle Mirror Transformation continues this week and next at the Station Theatre in Urbana.
The play follows five Vermont residents as they participate in a six-week Creative Drama class. As they perform basic theatrical exercises and games, they reveal more and more of their innermost secrets to the audience and each other.
Directed by Mikel Matthews, whose Station directorial credits include The Full Monty, Zombie Prom, and Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Circle Mirror Transformation is an interesting storytelling experiment and a unique theatre experience.
