The City of Champaign will be releasing a draft of their 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan on March 15th, and there will be multiple opportunities for public comment. The Annual Action Plan outlines housing and community development strategies, and includes how the city will use funds allocated by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) from the Urbana HOME Consortium

There will be a public comment period from March 15th to April 15th. There are two public hearings: March 10th at 5:30 p.m. during the Neighborhood Services Advisory Board meeting and March 15th at 7 p.m. during the City Council meeting.

The city plans to spend close to $1.5 million on housing and community programs in the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
