Common Ground has launched a “link match” food access program to compliment their current Food for All program. They are partnering with an organization from Chicago, Experimental Station, to provide this new option. According to their press release:

Customers who purchase groceries at the store using an EBT or “Link” card can earn up to $25 per day in vouchers to be used to purchase fresh, local fruits and vegetables for free. Common Ground works with over 20 local fruit and vegetable farmers, and at the time of this release has 65 unique produce items that are eligible for Link Match vouchers.

When customers use their EBT card at checkout, they are given the vouchers by the cashier. Items that qualify for purchase with the vouchers are labeled in the produce area.
