Common Ground has a romantic meal kit for Valentine’s Day

Wanting to cook a romantic dinner at home for your valentine, but you don’t know what to cook — or how to cook it? Common Ground Food Co-op has you covered with their Valentine’s Day take-home meal kit.

You can select dishes from CGFC’s three course dinner menu (appetizer, entrée, and dessert plus wine) and pick up it up, uncooked, ready for you to make at home — without any of the hassle of finding recipes or ingredients. These meal kits will come customized to the items you selected, each individually priced, and will include pre-made Co-op sauces, herb rubs, and recipe card instructions.

Not sure what to get? I’d order the demi baguette from Central Illinois Bakehouse with olive oil and herb blend ($4), chimichurri steak with potatoes and carrots ($25), a slice of flourless chocolate cake ($4), and the Cabernet Sauvignon ($23). The apple walnut salad with orange balsamic vinaigrette ($8) and the carrot-tomato stozzapreti pasta with spinach and mushrooms ($20) sound pretty great, too.

Fill out the pre-order form here and select your pick up time (Friday, February 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. or Saturday, February 13th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Meals can be picked up in store or curbside.
