CU Film Society teams up with Parkland for camera/filmmaking workshop

Are you a budding photographer or videographer that wants to take your skills and knowledge to the next level? Or maybe you bought that DSLR camera but haven’t yet been able to tap into it’s potential because you’re tired of reading the manual. If either of these is true, you are in luck.

June 23rd, bring your DSLR camera to Parkland College room PC-D231 and join the CU Film Society, Scott Regan of Scott Regan Photography, and Red Bull for an introductory workshop to DSLR camera and filmmaking. Here you can learn to use all of the basic techniques you need to start using your camera to its fullest potential. The workshop takes place from 1-4pm and is only $30.

If you’re already familiar with DSLR but want to boost your skills or just ask questions of a professional, there will also be an intermediate workshop for DSLR cameras and filmmaking on Sunday, June 24th from 12-4pm. The intermediate workshop is also $30 but if you sign up for both workshops it is just $50.

To register for the workshops you can register over the phone by calling 217-353-2055 or go to  http://www.parkland.edu/communityed/register.aspx to register online.
