Did you not win your grade school spelling bee? Have you always dreamed of the massive fame and acclaim that would have accompanied your victory if only the moderator hadn’t screwed you over?
Well, today you’re in luck because the Champaign-Urbana Schools Foundation is hosting their annual Adult Team Spelling Bee on Saturday, November 7th at 6 PM. The competition will take place at the City View Banquet Center in Illinois Terminal. A three-person team costs $150, and that includes food and entertainment for the evening. If you’re not of the spelling persuasion, spectator tickets are also available for $25. Act quick, though, because the registration deadline is this Friday, October 23rd. All of the money raised will go directly to CUSF programs, like classroom grants and student scholarships.
