The Don Moyers Boys & Girls club will reopen summer camps beginning Monday, June 15th, per Illinois Phase 3 reopening guidelines.

Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club Re-Opens Doors for Summer Camp
Champaign, Ill. – 6/8/2020 – Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club (DMBGC) will re-open our doors for Kids starting Monday, June 15. With the guidance of Boys & Girls Clubs of America regional and national staff, local health organizations, and other community partners, we have developed thorough safety and social distancing guidelines. We will serve elementary Kids, as required under the Phase 3, Restore Illinois, reopening guidelines, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at our Park Street location and at outdoor spaces in the community. We will also serve Teens in the evening until 8 p.m. We look forward to having the Club return to being a respite and safe place for Kids who have been sheltering at home for several weeks.
“Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club is the only place that some of the families in our community can turn to when schools are closed. We will be monitoring the reopening diligently, and will continue to operate as long as we are able to provide a safe environment for young people. As always, we place the safety of our youth and staff at the highest level.” said Executive Director, Sam Banks.
DMBGC is strictly following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Illinois Department of Health (IDPH) guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all participants.
