Don’t forget about the MTD tranSPORT for the Homecoming game

A long city bus is park along the side of the street. There are bare branched trees lining the street.

There will be a lot of people headed out to Saturday’s football game. Fans have a renewed sense of hope after last week’s Maryland game, we’re playing Wisconsin, and it’s Homecoming. It can be sort of a mess to park sometimes, especially if you are not tailgating and lingering in a lot for a while.

MTD has a special route that picks up at three different locations to help this situation. You can catch the 280 tranSPORT at the Illini Union, Fourth and Peabody, or Church and Neil Street, and be dropped off at Memorial Stadium. The service begins two hours before each game, and the last trip to the stadium begins 15 minutes after the game starts. You can return to your pick up spot any time during the game, through 30 minutes after the game ends.

It’s $2 round trip, or free if you have an iCard or MTD pass.

Find the pick up and drop off locations on the MTD website.
