The Education Justice Project (EJP) will be holding their 2021 Impact Gala virtually on April 10th from 5 to 7 p.m. The featured speaker, renowned activist Angela Davis, will be joining live, and Uni High grad and winner of Season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Sasha Velour will be providing a pre-recorded message for the event. The EJP, which is an initiative of the College of Education at U of I, is a college-in-prison program that offers U of I classes to those who are incarcerated at Danville Correctional Center. You can read more about the program here.
