Former lineman Simon Cvijanovic will be appearing on Real Sports at 9 pm tonight to chat with Jon Frankel about alleged athlete abuse perpetrated by ex-Head Coach Tim Beckman. The original story can be found here.
Thanks to the News-Gazette, we have a small piece of dialogue from the interview, which suggests to put the Univesity of Illinois’ athletic department’s reputation in its lowest place yet, but that’s just my guess:
When asked by Frankel “do you think the coaches and the team doctors were in cahoots?,” Cvijanovic says “Yes, 100 percent, no doubt.” Cvijanovic goes on to say “I felt like I wasn’t being accounted for as a human.”
