As part of the University YMCA’s Welcoming Week, Museum of the Grand Prairie is hosting Welcome to the Prairie on September 10th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can see blacksmithing and outdoor cooking demos, then try your hand at candle-dipping, butter churning, ice cream making, and folk dancing. There will also be guided nature hikes, presented in multiple languages.
