So far only a little over a quarter of the number of people Champaign County Salvation Army hoped to have for this weekend’s One Million Meals for Haiti project have stepped forward.
The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Volunteers are asked to sign up for two-hour shifts to help repackage nonperishable foodstuffs like rice and soy.
