Habitat for Humanity is looking for teams for Raise the Woof

This year’s Raise the Woof campaign will have teams building from their home or workplace, rather than gathering together for a big event, but the goal is the same: To raise money for Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat is looking for teams to participate in the September 26th event. From their website:

In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, all dog house building will be done at each team’s home or place of work and the event will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube! Prizes will still be awarded to the top teams in 8 different categories, and all the completed houses will then be moved to our ReStore for the public to admire (and bid on!).

Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County’s mission is a world where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home. Over 50% of renters in Champaign County are overburdened by their housing costs, and there is limited access to affordable housing. Every dollar donated will go towards making affordable housing a reality for qualifying home buyers and each Habitat home buyer in turn gives back to the community that gave so generously to them.

Teams can register here.
