Part of the Allerton Park Concert Series, the annual Irish Fest is happening this Friday, September 8th, from 6 to 9 p.m. You can listen to Irish tunes from a more local group (Celtic Whistle) and a national touring group (The Gothard Sisters) while relaxing on the Gatehouse Lawn. You’ll need to bring your own blanket or chairs. You can also bring your own food, or you can get food from the food trucks that will be on hand: Ice Daddy’s, Marrakesh Grill, and Slow Spark BBQ. There will also be Jimmy John’s, and a cash bar.
If you want to get a little crazy, you can wade through some green foam to find prizes. I might just watch that part, but you do you!
Allerton is asking for a $5 suggested donation per person, or $10 per family at the gate.
