Soon it will be time to break out the rakes. Here’s what you need to know if you are a Champaign resident:
The City of Champaign Fall Yard Waste Collection program will run from October 11 through December 10, 2021, on alternating weeks between blue and orange zones. Blue Zone pickups will begin October 11, 2021 and Orange Zone pickups will begin October 18, 2021. No pickup dates are scheduled during the week of Thanksgiving. Collection is available to all City of Champaign residential properties within City limits at no charge. This program provides a green alternative for yard waste disposal.
Residents may participate by placing bagged leaves or bundled branches and twigs at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection date. Residents should refer to the map and schedule below to determine their collection dates (a larger map can be accessed by clicking on the map).
Find your collection zone! Visit bit.ly/ChampaignYardWasteMap and enter your address. Collection is available to all residential properties within City limits.
