Illini Football single-game tickets on sale Tuesday

From the SID:

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Single-game tickets for the 2011 Illinois football season go on sale at 9 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, July 19, through the Illinois athletic ticket office. Fans can purchase tickets at fightingillini.com, toll free at 1-866-ILLINI-1 or by visiting the athletic ticket office at the Assembly Hall.

Be sure to secure your seats for the Sept. 3 season-opener against Arkansas and the Sept. 10 contest against South Dakota State. The Illini take on Arizona State under the lights on Sept. 17 and welcome Western Michigan on Sept. 24. Illinois’ Homecoming clash with Northwestern on Oct. 1 is sure to be a hot ticket and the Illini also host Ohio State on Oct. 15, Michigan on Nov. 12 and Wisconsin on Nov. 19.

The Fighting Illini already have sold out the Horseshoe in the south end of the Memorial Stadium for the fifth-straight year. The Block I student section in the middle of the north end zone stands also is sold out but student season tickets remain.

The Illini are coming off a 38-14 win in the 2010 Texas Bowl and a 7-6 overall record. Illinois returns eight starters from an offense that led the Big Ten in rushing and broke the school record for points scored per game. The Orange and Blue also have six returning starters from a defensive unit that ranked among the top 40 nationally in total defense and two of three starting specialists.

Paired with that returning talent is a schedule featuring eight home games, including five straight home games to start the season. It will be the most home games the Illini have ever played in a season in Memorial Stadium.

Sideline season tickets are available for $320 and student season tickets are available for $99.
