I:Scintilla return to Cowboy Monkey for EP release show

Chicago-based I:SCINTILLA (pronounced “eye-sin-til-uh”) return to Champaign to celebrate the release of their newest EP, “Prey On You”. The female-fronted electronic-rock quartet last passed through Central Illinois twelve months ago as part of their three-month U.S. tour with Florida’s The Cruxshadows during Fall/Winter 2008. In case you’re not familiar, similar artists include Garbage, Evanescence, Curve, Lacuna Coil, etc.

The band, which formed in 2003, was extremely active in the Champaign-Urbana music scene until 2007 when they relocated to Chicago. In addition to dozens of local live performances and radio airplay, I:SCINTILLA won two WPGU Local Music Awards in April 2007. These included “Best Heavy Band” and “Best Album” for their 2006 release, “Havestar”.

The EP Release Show will be at Cowboy Monkey on November 7 and the cover has been kept low at $5. Local rockers, Terminus Victor, will open the show along with two longtime post-punk/industrial DJs spinning before, between, and after the bands. Here are the details:
