The Champaign Public Library is throwing an open house to celebrate The Studio, a new 8,000 square foot space for teens in the lower level of the Library. “The design includes creative tools like 3D printers, sewing machines, Cricut machines, and Glowforge laser cutters—in addition to a computer lab, gaming area, and recording studios.” On October 14th it will officially open to the public on the weekends, but you can see the new space on October 7th and 8th for the open house. The open house will have demonstrations of the equipment and giveaways throughout the weekend. If you can’t make it, tours will be available October 9th through 13th.
