It’s time to start collecting winter clothes for those in need

Yes, it’s going to be almost 90 degrees today. But winter will be upon us sooner than we’d like, and there are people in our community who don’t have what they need to keep them protected in those colder months.

Each year, Cunningham Township hosts the Enoch Miller Sr. Winter Donation Drive to gather wintry clothing for adults and kids. They are looking for new or gently used coats, mitten/gloves, hats, and boots, new socks, and hand warmers.

You have a few options for donation spots:

  • Cunningham Township office at 205 W Green, Urbana
  • Channing Murray Foundation at 1209 W Oregon, Urbana
  • Farren’s Pub & Eatery, 117 N Walnut, Champaign
