Japan House will be moving forward with annex plans after donations from its founder

Japan House founder Shozo Sato and his family are making it possible for Japan House to begin work on their annex, which will double the existing space and make room for more programming. 

Sato’s brother-in-law Dr. George Ogura donated $1 million to the project. He has since passed away, but Sato and his wife Alice Ogura Sato have donated another $1 million from his estate, and have set up a charitable annuity which will help with maintenance of the new space.
