The Prairie Dragon Paddlers, an organization that brings breast cancer survivors together with the sport of dragon boating, are inviting people to the Salt Fork Center at Homer Lake on September 17th. From 1 to 4 p.m., there will be lots of fun for all ages, and an opportunity to learn more about what they’re all about. Watson’s Food Truck will be there from 1 to 3 p.m., and the Wildwood String Band will be playing from 2 to 4 p.m. If you are over 10 years old, you can take a ride on the dragon boat.

PDP was founded in 2015, and they practice on Homer Lake from April to October. This spring, they traveled to New Zealand for the 2023 International Dragon Boat Festival.
