According to the News-Gazette, Judge Thomas Difanis ordered the U of I to turn over documents related to Steven Salaita’s FOIA lawsuit.
Presiding Judge Thomas Difanis said the public interest in knowing whether outside influence was involved in the hiring decision outweighed the university’s claim that producing the documents was “unduly burdensome.”
We’ll have to see what shakes out from the information released as Salaita is looking for proof that donors pressured U of I to rescind their job offer to him.
