Kenna Mae of Sweetmelk to begin monthly residency at The Space

The scene is set at a bar or cafe. A person with a tattoo on their shoulder is in the foreground, holding a bottle labeled “Malort”. They are dressed in a red outfit with puffy sleeves and a necklace. The background features a wall with tiles and the text “PUNK ROCK LOVE SONGS” written on it. The atmosphere seems lively and colorful. The word "SPACE" is painted on the wall behind them.

Kenna Mae Reiss, the vibrant lead singer of Sweetmelk, has just unveiled an exciting new venture: the Hopeless Romantic Residency at The Space. This unique series promises to fill The Space with an electric atmosphere every third Thursday of the month, from 7 to 9 p.m., beginning on February 15th. Fans can look forward to a personal performance where Reiss will not only belt out classic punk rock love songs but also offer alternative renditions of the beloved Sweetmelk tracks. This series marks a departure from Reiss’s usual stance on song requests; in a groundbreaking twist, if patrons share a shot of Jeppson’s Malört with them, they vow to master their favorite punk rock love song. Fueled by the camaraderie of friends and the backing of Jeppson’s Malört, the Hopeless Romantic Residency is poised to transform at The Space into a sanctuary for lovers of punk rock and those captivated by the expressive essence of live music.
