Giertz Gallery at Parkland College has a new exhibition featuring the work of Kristy Deetz, professor emerita at University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. She works with a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, and digital media.

Her Threads, Fold, and Rabbit Holes features two bodies of work: paintings from her series Through the Veil, inspired by the Edward S. Louis book, The Singular Adventures of Rabbit and Kitty Boy, and Holidays Unfolding, paintings featured in a book Deetz co-created with Louis entitled Holidays Unfolding, The Continuing Adventures of Rabbit and Kitty Boy

This Thursday, October 12th, there will be an opening reception and artist lecture. Deetz will speak at Staerkel Planetarium at 1:15 p.m. Then there will be a reception at Giertz Gallery from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a gallery talk at 6:15 p.m. Ms. M and the Jokers will provide the entertainment, and there will be light refreshments.

The exhibition will be on display through November 11th. See gallery hours below.
