Whenever the national spotlight touches Champaign-Urbana, it is certainly something to note. Today, that comes in the form of Champaign-born pop musician Lex, who has just released a video for “My Way” (and no, it’s not a Fetty Wap cover), and the production quality certainly is through the roof.
In addition to being a singer, Lex is also an actress, though she goes by Alexis Atkins, and has appeared in the films Ted 2 and The Boy Next Door, amongst others. She’s a former Centennial and St. Thomas More student, and also was the winner of Miss Teen Illinois (and runner-up for Miss Teen USA) in 2010.
It’s nice to see some C-U talent in the spotlight – especially for something as unique as a pop star. Stream the video for “My Way” below:
