Here’s some good news: the Mahomet bakery Lucky Moon Pies and More is expanding and opening a dine-in location. The new café will offer a permanent menu of pies, breads, brewed coffee, and more in addition to rotating specials of sweet and savory items. When the new location opens, the current shop on Oak Street will become the bakery, and the new Eastwood Drive café will be where all Lucky Moon goodies are sold.
The food that Lucky Moon makes is delicious. I love the little shop’s chicken noodle soup, but their jumbo chocolate chip cupcake is awesome as well, and so is the buttermilk pie with berries.
