In a press release last week, MTD announced that is changing (read: limiting) bus service to the U of I campus this spring semester, beginning January 24th.
Reduced services highlights are below.
Spring Semester MTD service and frequency will mimic the service model that has been in place over Winter Break, but will also include 22/220 Illini and Illini Limited service, though with modified service hours and slightly altered trip times and frequencies. SafeRides Connect service hours will be reduced throughout the semester, ending at 12:30AM, with final reservations taken until 12:00AM. SafeRides will not operate between 12:30AM and 6:30AM during this service reduction.
There will also be no Late Night service on any route. Routes will operate through the end of their Weekday Evening schedules, with last trips concluding before 1:00AM.
