CU-Citizen Access posted a “teaser” article on Friday comparing vacancy rates of housing in Champaign and Urbana in 2000 and 2010, with accompanying maps. Housing units are up 11 percent since 2000, and vacancy rates have increased from six percent in 2000 to eight percent in 2009.
