Each year the national organization Keep America Beautiful recognizes America Recycles Day by inviting their affiliate communities to host events. Keep Champaign Beautiful is hosting a Boneyard Creek Clean-up Event on October 28th from 10 a.m. to noon. They are trying to gather up a bunch of volunteers to pick up litter along Boneyard Creek. Everything will be provided for you: gloves, buckets, pick-up sticks, trash and recycling bags, safety vests…you even get a free t-shirt and free pizza after!
You can sign up as an individual or with a group, just do it ahead of time so they have an idea of how many to expect. The meeting place is the parking lot next to Prosperity Gardens at 302 North First Street.
