Parkland’s CobraVenture Pitch Showcase was earlier this week, where a cohort of student entrepreneuers presented their business ideas to a panel of judges from the college and the community. Rebecca Smith was selected as the 2023 winner, for her business Mobile Matrimony, which would provide weddings on a smaller scale for smaller budgets. She received $3000 in startup money for her win.

The showcase is the culmination of a semester long accelerator lab, which “provides students with an avenue for networking and business mentorship, featuring collaborative workspaces, topics taught by local serial entrepreneurs, and one-on-one guidance with business mentors.”
