Registration for the fall Residential Electronics Collection opens September 10th

Set a reminder for 8 a.m on Monday morning so that you can get your ticket for the big collection day, which will happen October 13th at Parkland. This is an excellent opportunity to get rid of those electronics and electronic accessories that are taking up space in your closet or gathering dust somewhere. If you go to the registration website you can find loads of important information about acceptable items, how many items you can bring, the drop-off process, etc. You must register online in order to participate in the event. Some important things to know:

  • This event is for residents living in these participating communities in Champaign County:  Bondville, Broadlands, Champaign, Fisher, Gifford, Homer, Ivesdale, Ludlow, Mahomet, Ogden, Pesotum, Rantoul, Royal, Sadorus, Savoy, Sidney, Thomasboro, Urbana, & Unincorporated Champaign County.  If you live in one of the communities not participating (Allerton, Foosland, Longview, Philo, St. Joseph, & Tolono) then please do not register for this event, unless you have an ‘unincorporated Champaign County’ address.
  • If October 13th doesn’t work for you, there are free YEAR-ROUND local electronic recycling options (with the exception of most TV’s). You can find out more here.
