Campustown has another new restaurant worth checking out. Shawarma Joint is a 100% halal Middle Eastern restaurant on Green Street in Zorba’s old location beside Mia Za’s. The menu is quite large and features appetizers like hummus and baba ghanouj and entrees like shawarma pitas, wraps, bowls, and plates with meat and veggies. On the sides menu, you can find fries, baklava, grape leaves, rice, salad, and lentil soup.
Many of the dishes are customizable, so you can order your lunch or dinner just how you like it at the counter service restaurant. The prices are super affordable as well. Every appetizer on the menu is $1.99. The pitas start at $5, and the highest price point on the menu is $10.99.
