Sitara Indian Restaurant & Lounge’s official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will happen this afternoon, October 30, at 4:30 p.m., with food/drink specials and special desserts.

Per the Urbana Business Association’s press release:

For the grand opening celebration, there will be door prizes and drawings from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with food and drink specials for the duration of the event. Cake and other special desserts that are not on the menu will also be served free of charge during the celebration. This event is free and open to the public.

“We would like to invite everyone to come celebrate with us at our grand opening and ribbon cutting,” says Holli Finley Gomes of Sitara. “We really appreciate the support we receive from our customers. Please stop by for a minute and enjoy a glass of wine or try one of our Indian beers, or stay for a bit and have dinner.”

“With so many restaurants now available in downtown Urbana, the addition of Indian cuisine adds to the myriad of delicious options. Sitara is quickly becoming a local favorite.”  – Cynthia Johnson, UBA.
